5-Hydroxytryptophan is a naturally occurring substance made by the body and converted into serotonin.

The only other source of 5-HTP is found in the seeds of the African plant Griffonia Simplicifolia from which we extract our natural 5-HTP supplement.

Serotonin is converted to melatonin, which is used by the body to create our sleep-wake cycle. When levels are low we find it hard to relax and drift off to sleep.
